After an incredible first year of rebuilding, The Association of Medical Students Ireland (AMSI) is looking for the next generation of students to help shape our future!
This year, we held our first National General Assembly in 3 years, hosted the Dublin Health Hackathon and Ireland’s first-ever IFMSA SRT on Disaster Medicine, represented Ireland at both IFMSA General Assemblies , traveled to 7 different countries, launched our HPAT Seminar Series and Mind Matters Initiative, began re-establishing our international exchange programme, and more.

Who we are
The Association of Medical Students, Ireland (AMSI) is a unified network of medical students from all eight medical schools across Ireland. We work together on advocacy, education, global health, research, public health campaigns, clinical international exchanges, and much more. As Ireland’s National Member Organization to the International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA), we are part of a global federation of over 1.3 million medical students in more than 120 countries — giving our members the opportunity to work and collaborate locally, nationally, and internationally.
What we do
AMSI connects medical students across Ireland and the world to exchange ideas, develop skills, and initiate projects that make a difference. Our work spans advocacy, education, public health, research, and global health — giving our members the skills and resources to become future health leaders. We create opportunities for members to engage in impactful campaigns, participate in international exchanges, and contribute to projects that benefit both medical students and the communities they serve.
